This is a great website! It's an interactive map that allows one to search the prevalence of vaccine preventable diseases. You can click on different diseases and search per individual disease and you can also search worldwide and the prevalence of all VPD's.The map allows you to specifically search: polio, measles, mumps, rubella, as well as whooping cough and then a general category for "other". As one would expect the map shows a lot more infections located in Africa and in Europe than in America however America has the highest prevalence for Whooping Cough. I think this is a great tool for parents in order to dispute the idea that these infections are no longer around.
